Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pein Nagato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nagato might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Turn My Swag On. Max Thompson looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Thompson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Thompson stuffs the takedown attempt from Nagato. Nagato gets slowly back to his feet.
Nagato fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Thompson sprawls well initially but Nagato persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Nagato has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Nagato has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Nagato cracks Thompson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Nagato unloads with some shots from mount but Thompson bucks and avoids them well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nagato takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Nagato has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Thompson is forced to tap!
