Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Markus Vinicius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Abreu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abreu dives in and grabs Vinicius's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vinicius pushes down on Abreu's head and hops out.
Abreu ducks right into an uppercut from Vinicius.
Abreu shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vinicius's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Abreu has gone for a leg lock! Vinicius slips out almost immediately though and dives into Abreu's guard.
Vinicius wanted to stand there but Abreu had control of the position.
Abreu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Vinicius wants to stand but Abreu has his arm trapped.
Vinicius has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Vinicius lands a jab to the head.
Vinicius throws a series of punches but Abreu avoids them all with ease.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Vinicius lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Abreu has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Abreu and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Abreu tries for a takedown but Vinicius sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Vinicius's corner calls for a 1-2. Vinicius obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Abreu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vinicius sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Abreu somewhat.
Markus Vinicius has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodrigo Abreu.

Vinicius cracks Abreu with a good jab.
Vinicius lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Vinicius swings for the body but Abreu moves out of range.
Vinicius rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Abreu moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vinicius throws a head kick but Abreu moves out of range.
Abreu fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Abreu is defended easily by Vinicius.
Abreu looks gassed!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nice sprawl there from Vinicius as Abreu shoots in.
A jab-cross combination lands for Vinicius and sends Abreu crashing to the mat! Vinicius follows him down to the mat - Abreu regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Abreu is rocked!
It looks like Rodrigo Abreu has been cut.
Vinicius has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Abreu works to full guard.
Abreu is still in real trouble! Can Vinicius finish him?

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Abreu looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Abreu has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vinicius can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Vinicius wants to stand but Abreu has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Vinicius trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Vinicius knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Abreu on the ground.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Vinicius is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Abreu shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Abreu was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Abreu is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Vinicius has his hands clasped together but Abreu extends an breaks Vinicius's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Abreu.
