Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joe Shadow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Long Dong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Dong's choice of entrance music: Thompson Twins - If You Were Here. Long Dong will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Shadow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Long Dong! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Anthony Taglia and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shadow throws a series of punches but Dong avoids them all with ease. No joy there for Shadow, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A nice combination there by Shadow.
Shadow tries to clinch but Dong moves out of range. Dong closes the distance and clinches up with Shadow, looking for a takedown. Dong pushes Shadow against the cage but Shadow circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Shadow scores with a jab. Dong tries to keep at a distance but Shadow has taken the fight into the clinch. Dong has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Shadow regains guard immediately. Dong is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Shadow will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Shadow keeping moving, preventing Dong from controlling successfully. Dong won't allow Shadow to sweep him here. Dong pushing down on Shadow's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dong decides to stand and escape the position. Shadow throws a right hand that Dong ducks under and follows up with a left that Dong also avoids with ease.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shadow throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Shadow looks to land a combination but Dong avoids it well. Dong fails with the takedown. Dong shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Shadow defends it nicely. Joe Shadow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Long Dong. Dong tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shadow swivels and escapes. Shadow misses with an uppercut. Dong saw that one coming. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dong. Shadow misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dong.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Shadow swinging wilding here.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dong is defended easily by Shadow. Shadow goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Shadow misses with a wild body shot. Dong looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Shadow lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dong circles away quickly and effectively. Shadow tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Shadow rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dong moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Dong closes the distance and pushes Shadow back into the cage. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shadow wants to break the clinch but can't.

Dong tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Shadow wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Dong is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. A frustrated look appears on Shadow's face as he tries to break the clinch. Shadow being controlled against the cage. Dong changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Shadow fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Shadow tries to clinch but fails miserably and Dong counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Shadow trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Dong lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Shadow throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Dong is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shadow swivels though and keeps the full guard. Shadow looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Dong advances position into side control! Dong working away. Dong decides to stand up, so the ref orders Shadow to his feet. Dong circles away from the clinch attempt and Dong counters with a single leg into guard. Shadow didn't expect that. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dong trying to control the position from guard on top but Shadow is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Dong lands a couple of decent looking shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Long Dong dominated that round. That's time! Shadow's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Dong takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Shadow looks for the body kick but Dong saw that one coming. Shadow tries to clinch but fails miserably and Dong counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Shadow breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Shadow throws a right and a left that Dong avoids nicely. Dong takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Dong shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Shadow is trying to defend but Dong finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Dong is looking for a kimura here.
Shadow might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Dong is nestled in close to Shadow, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dong is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Dong takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action.
