Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chance Brisbell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Soprano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chance Brisbell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tony Soprano! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Soprano tries to clinch but Brisbell is having none of it. Brisbell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Brisbell throws a nice looking combination but Soprano bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Soprano tries to close the distance and clinch but Brisbell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Soprano tries to clinch but Brisbell moves out of range. Soprano misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Soprano. Brisbell cracks Soprano with a right hand to the side of the head.
It looks like Tony Soprano has been cut. Soprano is looking to clinch. Brisbell closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Soprano did well to prevent Brisbell getting side control. Soprano is trying to control but can't.

Brisbell loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brisbell seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Soprano had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Brisbell defends it easily. Brisbell could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Brisbell works over Soprano with some ground and pound from guard. Brisbell wants to control from the top but Soprano keeps moving. Soprano is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Brisbell defends well. Soprano is looking for a triangle but Brisbell pushes his legs off easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Soprano preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Brisbell is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Brisbell is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Brisbell trying to control but Soprano is working from the bottom. Brisbell throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Soprano is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Brisbell tries to kick Soprano off in order to stand up. Soprano Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. You can see the frustration on Brisbell's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Brisbell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Soprano on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Soprano happy to just control the position for now. Soprano working away. Soprano is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Brisbell has escaped the position, nice work there. Brisbell is looking to reverse the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Soprano takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Brisbell lands with a shot to the body. Soprano slips a jab and a cross from Brisbell.
Brisbell lands with an overhand left. Brisbell looks to land a combination. Soprano sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Brisbell moves into the clinch. Brisbell tries for a takedown but Soprano manages to get underhooks.
Soprano throws a knee to the head but misses.
Brisbell has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Soprano is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Brisbell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Brisbell connects with the punch. Tony Soprano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Brisbell fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Soprano, pushing him back against the cage. Brisbell changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Soprano fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chance Brisbell. That's going to take a lot out of him. Soprano looks to clinch and Brisbell counters with a nice double leg into side control. Soprano won't be happy with that. Soprano tries to improve position but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chance Brisbell dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tony Soprano's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Soprano has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Brisbell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Soprano as he avoids it easily. Brisbell shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Soprano sprawls well. Soprano wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Brisbell gets slowly back to his feet. Brisbell throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Brisbell misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Soprano clinches but Brisbell breaks the clinch and Brisbell counters with a nice body kick. Soprano throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Soprano tries to clinch so Brisbell counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Brisbell trying to control the position from guard on top but Soprano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brisbell stands up and waves to Soprano to follow him. Soprano gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Brisbell counters with a takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Brisbell lands some shots froms side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Soprano manages to get back to half guard. Soprano tries to roll over but Brisbell keeps him under control. Soprano actively working from the bottom here. Soprano trying to control here.
Brisbell is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Soprano wants to improve his position but Brisbell is controlling well.
Brisbell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Soprano with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Brisbell is pressing down on Soprano's thigh, looking to free his foot. Soprano is holding on for now. Brisbell seems to be working for a kimura but Soprano defends the submission attempt.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A head kick by Brisbell misses and Soprano counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Soprano tries to clinch up. Brisbell closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Soprano trying to control but Brisbell postures up.

Brisbell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Brisbell fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Soprano on the side of the head. Brisbell lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Brisbell. Brisbell closes the distance and clinches. Brisbell tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Soprano just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brisbell is trying to force a seperation but Soprano has the dominant position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Brisbell looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chance Brisbell. That's going to take a lot out of him. Soprano crunches a lovely knee into Brisbell's ribcage. Nice body punch from Soprano. Brisbell works on Soprano's body with a couple of short punches. Soprano misses with a knee strike.

Chance Brisbell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Soprano tries for a takedown but Brisbell circles away easily and Brisbell counters by clinching up. Brisbell can't get the takedown.

Brisbell jumps guard and drags Soprano to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Soprano drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Soprano jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Brisbell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Soprano doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Soprano manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Soprano thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Soprano wants to control from the top but Brisbell keeps moving. Soprano drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Soprano jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Soprano is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Brisbell scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Brisbell cracks Soprano with an elbow. That is naaassty. Soprano wants to control but Brisbell postures up. Soprano prevents Brisbell from improving position. Brisbell is trying to get an arm triangle but Soprano is defending well. Brisbell tries for a kimura but Soprano is defending well. Soprano manages to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Soprano wants to control but Brisbell is keeping busy and won't allow it. Soprano wants to get back to full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Brisbell slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Brisbell fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Soprano looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Chance Brisbell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Soprano takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Brisbell shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Soprano is working to get back to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Chance Brisbell showed his dominance in that final round. Well Brisbell has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
