Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stephan Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Moon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Moon looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Moon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mack defends it nicely. Moon is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Moon is looking to clinch. Moon shoots in and drives through. Mack sprawls well. Moon fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Stephan Mack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Moon. Moon moves in looking to clinch but Mack pushes him off. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moon is looking to clinch but Mack is avoiding it.
Mack slips a straight right by Moon. Moon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mack tries to avoid it but Moon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mack to the ground. Mack escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Moon shoots in for a double leg but Mack sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Moon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mack drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mack working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Mack with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Mack trying to control but Moon is working from the bottom. Moon lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mack! Moon lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Moon throws a wild left hand from mount and Mack manages to wriggle his way back to half guard. Mack wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mack is staying active underneath Moon, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Moon thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Mack to regain full guard. Mack has a closed guard, preventing Moon from standing up. Moon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mack works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Moon wants to stand and escape but instead Mack has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Mack stopping the sweep attempt from Moon. Moon wants to stand but Mack is controlling the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Mack keeps the fight on the outside.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mack swats him away and circles back towards the center. A slow jab from Moon misses its intended target. Moon with a poor takedown and Mack counters with a one-two to the body. Moon tries to clinch but Mack moves away and Mack counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Mack looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Mack working over Moon with some ground and pound. Moon looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Mack working the head and body with strikes. Moon has hold of Mack's hands but Mack slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Moon pushes Mack off and gets back to his feet. Moon with a poor takedown and Mack counters with a nice double leg into side control. Moon won't be happy with that. Moon looks gassed! Moon is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mack working the head and body with strikes. Mack lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The fighters are battling for position here. Moon manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Mack arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Moon's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Stephan Mack!
