Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fedor Lesnar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Forrest Liddell! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Chad Campbell and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnar shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Liddell manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Lesnar stops Liddell from standing up. Lesnar with a flurry of punches that miss. Lesnar stands and throws Liddell's legs to the side, diving into side control. Lesnar misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Lesnar looks up at the clock and then as Liddell takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lesnar smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Lesnar misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Lesnar tries for a kimura but Liddell is defending well. Lesnar working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Liddell is looking to reverse the position. You can see the frustration on Liddell's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Lesnar is trying to get an arm triangle but Liddell is defending well. Lesnar is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Liddell is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lesnar scores with punches from side control. Lesnar tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Liddell can't do much from the bottom here. Lesnar wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Liddell, who protects the arm well. Liddell is trying to control Lesnar's posture but Lesnar avoids it. Liddell wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lesnar landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Lesnar landing strikes. Lesnar tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Liddell is pushing Lesnar's head away, looking to escape. Lesnar manages to hold on to the position though. Lesnar swings around for an armbar but Liddell sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Lesnar's guard. Lesnar is breathing heavily. Lesnar lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Liddell! Lesnar unloading with bombs! Liddell wants to hold on but Lesnar pushes him away. Lesnar misses with a head shot. Lesnar avoids the attempt from Liddell to control. Lesnar sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Lesnar is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Liddell can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
