The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A big left from schilt misses.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Bonjasky escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. schilt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Bonjasky bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in schilt's guard.

schilt is looking for a triangle but Bonjasky pushes his legs off easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Bonjasky feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bonjasky throws and elbow that misses. schilt uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bonjasky's guard. Nice move by schilt!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to semmy schilt.
