Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shock Wave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Kriger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kriger is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Tupac - Me Against The World. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shock Wave! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bruno Kriger! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kriger closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wave did well to prevent Kriger getting side control. Wave is controlling Kriger's trapped leg to prevent Kriger from advancing to side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wave is refusing to be controlled, as Kriger sits in half guard. Kriger is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wave is just riding it out for now. Kriger eventually gives up the hold. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kriger is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Wave has managed to free his arm - good work. Kriger tries to stand and escape but Wave is controlling the position. Wave blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kriger. Wave is trying to maintain the position but Kriger is very close to passing his half guard. Wave regains full guard. Nicely done. Wave wants to sweep but no luck. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's one minute gone in the round. Kriger trying to control but Wave is working from the bottom. Kriger postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kriger closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Wave tries to bench press Kriger off him but Kriger keeps the position. Wave wants to control but Kriger postures up. Wave sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Kriger seems to be working for a kimura but Wave defends the submission attempt. Kriger looks gassed! Kriger prevents Wave from improving his position. Wave trying to control but Kriger postures up.
Kriger is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Kriger trying to advance position but Wave counters by regaining guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kriger postures up.
Wave has momentary wrist control but Kriger slips an elbow through the middle. Wave is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Kriger trying to control but Wave is working from the bottom. Kriger throws a big right hand that misses. Wave looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kriger is one step ahead there. Kriger trying to control the position from guard on top but Wave is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wave is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kriger defends well. Kriger is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wave keeping moving, preventing Kriger from controlling successfully. Wave has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kriger can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kriger looking to pass the guard. Kriger stands and steps away. Wave gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Wave shoots and misses and Kriger decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wave's guard. Wave wants to sweep but no luck. Wave looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kriger is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wave is trying to control the position but Kriger postures up. Kriger drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kriger jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Wave is trying to control the position but Kriger postures up. Kriger cracks Wave with a solid left hand.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kriger decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Wave looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kriger is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruno Kriger dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kriger scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Kriger looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Wave throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. Wave tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Kriger easily slips into full mount! Wave is trying desperately to improve position. Kriger lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Wave hang on? Kriger jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Wave is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Wave and Kriger has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Kriger wants to stand but Wave has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wave has his foot on Kriger's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kriger works his way back into a safe position though. Kriger is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Wave is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Wave looking for a guillotine here but Kriger defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kriger drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kriger jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kriger must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kriger wants to get up but he can't break Wave's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Kriger wants to control from the top but Wave keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wave looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Kriger is pressing down on Wave's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kriger working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Wave. Kriger is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Wave works over Kriger with some ground and pound from guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wave preventing the sweep. Kriger trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Wave has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kriger is proving hard to escape from. Kriger is looking for a triangle but Wave pushes his legs off easily.
Wave passes into half guard. Wave is trying to control the action in half guard but Kriger is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Wave is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kriger is staying active underneath Wave, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Kriger is looking to improve his position.

A close second round but Bruno Kriger will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Wave tries for a takedown but Kriger circles away easily and Kriger counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Wave's guard now. Kriger is stalling in the full guard. Kriger trying to control but Wave is working from the bottom. Kriger sitting in guard here, content to control. Kriger scoring with some ground and pound. Wave looking for a guillotine here but Kriger defends easily.

Kriger feints and as Wave raises his hands in defense, Kriger changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Wave has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kriger can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kriger pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wave is keeping the position for now. Kriger postures up.
Kriger is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Kriger wants to stand and escape but instead Wave has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Wave working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kriger's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kriger pulls Wave in to control the position. Kriger throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Kriger throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Wave escapes and throws Kriger's legs to the side, diving into side control! You can see the frustration on Kriger's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Kriger bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Wave shoots and misses and Kriger counters with a three punch combo that has Wave backing up. Wave nods at Kriger to acknowledge the strikes. Kriger with a jab. Wave shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wave was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Kriger is squirming around, avoiding Wave's attempts to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kriger tries to reverse the position but Wave maintains control. Kriger tries to hold on but Wave pushes him away. Wave takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Wave doesn't have the hooks in and Kriger manages to turn into his guard.
Bruno Kriger is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kriger is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Wave had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kriger defends it easily. Bruno Kriger has got the better of the ground game so far. Kriger is stalling in the full guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Bruno Kriger comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kriger has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
