Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tatsuya Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tatsuya Nakamura! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Thiago Alves ! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alves shoots for a takedown but Nakamura saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Alves shoots in and drives through. Nakamura sprawls well. Alves shoots in and bounces Nakamura off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Nakamura lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Alves ! Nakamura is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Alves shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nakamura defends it nicely. Tatsuya Nakamura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago Alves . Alves closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nakamura circles away. Alves fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Thiago Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Alves throws and low kick but Nakamura moves out of range easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alves fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nakamura forces Alves back against the cage and clinches. Nakamura crunches a lovely knee into Alves 's ribcage. Alves misses with an elbow strike.
Nakamura blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Alves has had enough of the clinch but Nakamura keeps him there for the moment. Nakamura comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Nakamura lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Alves takes an elbow to the temple. Nakamura turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Nakamura manages to end up in side control. Nakamura stands up and we're back to a striking position. Nakamura decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nakamura tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Alves . Alves is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nakamura pulls his head out easily. Alves looks gassed! Nakamura decides to stand up. Alves with a lazy takedown attempt and Nakamura counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nakamura postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Alves to stand up. Nakamura scores with a takedown into Alves 's guard. Nakamura stands up from guard. Let's bang! Nakamura misses with a series of wild punches.
Alves darts in trying to clinch and Nakamura counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Alves 's guard now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nakamura stands up and waves to Alves to follow him. Alves with a lazy takedown attempt and Nakamura counters with a nice double leg into side control. Alves won't be happy with that. Alves tries to escape but Nakamura is in control. Alves is looking to regain half guard here but Nakamura keeps moving and retains side control. Nakamura has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Alves misses with a body shot.
Alves tries to clinch but Nakamura moves away and Nakamura counters with a takedown into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Alves is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nakamura has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. The fight moves into the clinch position. A battle for position here, against the cage. Alves trying to land knees to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nakamura pulls guard. Alves trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Nakamura manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tatsuya Nakamura dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Alves gets caught flat footed, as Nakamura shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Nakamura stands and steps away. Alves gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. A shot to de liver by Alves . Beautiful body shot. Alves has his takedown stuffed and Nakamura holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Alves goes for a takedown attempt but Nakamura pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Alves will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Tatsuya Nakamura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago Alves . Excellent takedown into side control there by Nakamura. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nakamura trying to control the action but Alves is working from the bottom. Alves tries to get back to half guard but can't. Nakamura decides to take the fight back to the feet. Alves gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Nakamura counters with a takedown into side control. Nakamura looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Alves is avoiding damage well.
Nakamura is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Alves can do to turn this around? Nakamura decides to take the fight back to the feet. Nakamura takes the fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alves is working for takedown but Nakamura is calmly controlling the position for now. Nakamura has clasped his hands together around Alves 's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nakamura tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Nakamura wants to stand but Alves has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard. Nakamura wanted to stand there but Alves had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alves is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Nakamura stands up from guard. Let's bang! Alves wants to clinch but Nakamura slips to the side and Nakamura counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Nakamura. Alves is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Nakamura gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Nakamura pulls Alves into guard.
Alves postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Nakamura is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Alves dives into side control.
Alves is looking to take a break and control but Nakamura is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alves might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nakamura kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Alves working the head with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tatsuya Nakamura dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Alves doesn't succeed with the takedown and Nakamura counters by moving into the clinch. Alves tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Nakamura just stands there and leans against the cage. Alves is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Nakamura is keeping busy. Alves is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Nakamura gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Tatsuya Nakamura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago Alves . Nakamura has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Alves is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Nakamura stalling the fight.
Alves jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nakamura walks away with a smile on his face. Alves gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nakamura forces Alves back against the cage and clinches. Nakamura lands a left hand.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Nakamura effectively controlling the action here. Alves is trying to break free.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alves tries to pull guard but Nakamura won't allow it.
Alves tries for a takedown but Nakamura manages to get underhooks.
Nakamura pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Alves gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Nakamura counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Nakamura. Nakamura gets to his feet. Alves looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Nakamura moves into the clinch. Alves stops a takedown attempt from Nakamura.
Alves is trying to break the clinch but Nakamura has him pressed against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Alves 's face as he tries to break the clinch. Alves blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Nakamura stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alves tries to circle away but Nakamura has him pinned against the cage. Alves is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Nakamura pulls him back up using the underhooks. A short uppercut from Nakamura. Alves tries a body shot but Nakamura blocks it.
Alves lands with a light punch inside. Alves tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Nakamura just stands there and leans against the cage. Nakamura lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Nakamura slowing the pace effectively. Nakamura gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Nakamura might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Alves tries to land a sweep but no joy. Nakamura wants to stand but Alves has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Nakamura has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Nakamura postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nakamura stands and steps away. Alves gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Alves is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Nakamura takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Nakamura clinches. Alves gets underhooks to prevent Nakamura's takedown attempt.
Alves tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Nakamura just stands there and leans against the cage. Alves has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Nakamura avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Nakamura tightens his grip and picks Alves up, before dumping him to the ground. Alves manages to land in guard. Nakamura wants to get up but he can't break Alves 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alves wants to stand up but Nakamura is controlling him. Nakamura stands and steps away. Alves gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Tatsuya Nakamura is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nakamura shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Nakamura was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Nakamura controlling from mount. Nakamura stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Thiago Alves has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tatsuya Nakamura is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Alves motions for Nakamura to come forward. Alves throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
And that's the end of the fight! Tatsuya Nakamura showed his dominance in that final round. Well Nakamura has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
