Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Hammond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcell Brice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammond comes to the cage accompanied by Afterlife. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Hammond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcell Brice!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Brice looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Donk. Hammond catches Brice right on the button with a cross.
Brice tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hammond swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hammond moves into range and clinches up with Brice.
Hammond gets through Brice's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Brice has hold of one of Hammond's legs. Hammond is fighting the takedown attempt but Brice gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Brice throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hammond works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hammond preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Hammond keeping full guard, as Brice tries to pass.
Hammond has his feet on Brice's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Brice rushes Hammond and presses him up against the cage.
Brice working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Brice jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hammond walks away with a smile on his face. Brice gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Brice misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Brice tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Hammond counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Brice thinking.
Brice shoots for a takedown but Hammond saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Brice looks gassed!
Hammond scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
It looks like Marcell Brice has been cut.
Hammond moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hammond lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Hammond lands a hook to the side of the head.
Hammond has Brice pushed against the cage.
Hammond on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Brice has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hammond uses from the top position.
Hammond tries to free his leg and advance position but Brice is retaining full guard.
Brice is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hammond is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brice has momentary wrist control but Hammond slips an elbow through the middle.
Hammond has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hammond working some strikes from top position.
Hammond decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Brice, up you get!
Hammond throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Brice stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Hammond lands a left and a right that send Brice crashing to the mat, dazed. Hammond thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Brice is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Hammond has cracked Brice with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Hammond lands another huge swinging hook and Brice tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Brice, before Hammond can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). John Hammond!
