Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Allan Key! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michal Ver Kittenhoven! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Fujiwara and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Key shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ver Kittenhoven pinned against the cage. Ver Kittenhoven gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ver Kittenhoven bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Key! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Key is rocked!
It looks like Allan Key has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ver Kittenhoven throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Key tries to land a sweep but no joy. Key is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Ver Kittenhoven holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Ver Kittenhoven looks like he's trying to stand up.
Key seems to be working for a kimura but Ver Kittenhoven defends the submission attempt. Key is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ver Kittenhoven wants to improve his position but Key is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Ver Kittenhoven holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Key tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Ver Kittenhoven wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Key.
Key working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Ver Kittenhoven turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Key off and cradles Ver Kittenhoven's limp body as Key celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Allan Key!
