Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ralph Wiggums (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ralph Wiggums!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Fedor Mirinova and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wiggums gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Wiggums feints and as Kane raises his hands in defense, Wiggums changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kane throws a strike but Wiggums rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Wiggums is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Andrew Kane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wiggums shoots in looking for a takedown. Kane tries to sprawl out of it but Wiggums keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kane manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Wiggums dives in and grabs Kane's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kane pushes down on Wiggums's head and hops out.

That was a close round but I would say that Andrew Kane will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Andrew Kane is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kane, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
