Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dr Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rolf Spicer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spicer has chosen Sepultura - Roots Bloody Roots as his entrance music. Rolf Spicer has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dr Jones's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dr Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 12 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rolf Spicer! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spicer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Spicer persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing. Spicer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Spicer dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Spicer's head and hops out. Spicer closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Spicer pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Dr Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rolf Spicer. Jones takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Dr Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones is looking to clinch but Spicer is avoiding it.
Jones tries to clinch up but Spicer circles away and keeps his distance. Spicer slips a jab and a cross from Jones.

It looks like Dr Jones has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Spicer fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Jones gets a clinch. Spicer tries to land a knee to the head but Jones blocks with his arms.

Spicer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Spicer has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Spicer closes the distance looking to clinch and Jones counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Spicer's guard now. Jones in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Jones trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jones throws and elbow that misses. Spicer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jones's guard. Nice move by Spicer!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to get back to his feet but Spicer is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Spicer would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Jones working a defensive guard here.
Spicer thows a big elbow that misses. Spicer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. The fight moves into the clinch position. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Jones just misses with a elbow thrown towards Spicer's brow. Spicer prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spicer misses with a knee strike.
Jones has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Spicer uses from the top position. Spicer in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Spicer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Spicer missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Spicer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Spicer throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Spicer's waist but Spicer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Spicer avoids the head kick by Jones.

Spicer lands a jab-cross combination. Spicer shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jones napping and manages to drive through into side control! Spicer working the strikes but Jones uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Spicer missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spicer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jones keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Spicer missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones is looking to control Spicer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jones avoid being mounted? Spicer throwing shots but Jones is blocking nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dr Jones will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Dr Jones's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Spicer shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jones's guard. Jones is looking for a triangle but Spicer pushes his legs off easily.
Spicer stands up and waves to Jones to follow him. Jones looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Spicer! Spicer is squirming around, avoiding Jones's attempts to control the action. Spicer is bucking up trying to escape but Jones cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Spicer holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Jones tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Spicer is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones punching from mount but Spicer doing a good job of avoiding damage. Spicer tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Jones goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Spicer turns into him and now he's in Jones's guard.
Spicer trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Spicer stands and steps away. Jones gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Jones shoots and misses and Spicer counters with a head kick. That will keep Jones thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spicer looks to land a combination. Jones sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Spicer is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Jones misses with a takedown attempt and Spicer counters with a two punch combo. Spicer throws a head kick that misses. Spicer closes the distance and clinches. Spicer looking to throw knees to the head but Jones is blocking nicely.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Spicer controlling the action here for a moment.

We're back to striking at a distance. Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Spicer connects with a body shot. A lazy left from Jones finds it's target. Spicer fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Spicer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Spicer looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well. Dr Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rolf Spicer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spicer gets the takedown into side control. Spicer throws a strike aimed at the side of Jones's head but Jones avoids it well. Jones is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Spicer controlling the pace. Spicer thows a huge punch but Jones dodges it nicely.
Spicer is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jones kicks Spicer off and gets back to his feet. Spicer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Rolf Spicer seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spicer tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Jones takes the fight into the clinch. Spicer using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Jones has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Spicer gets a takedown into half guard. Spicer sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Jones defending well though. Jones wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones blocking the ground and pound attempt from Spicer. Jones wants to control but Spicer is keeping busy.

Rolf Spicer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Dr Jones's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

A quick uppercut on the inside from Spicer. Jones with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Spicer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jones pushes Spicer up against the cage in a clinch. Spicer fails to pull guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dr Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Spicer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Spicer thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jones's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones has his hands clasped together around Spicer's back. He's all about the action. Spicer winds up and cracks Jones with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Spicer wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy. Spicer throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Spicer wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Spicer sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Jones defending well though. Spicer lands with a punch from half guard. Spicer is working for an americana but Jones has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Spicer was thinking about the submission. Jones is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Spicer trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Spicer gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Spicer looking for a guillotine here but Jones defends easily.
