The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lachance tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ramirez swivels and escapes.
Ramirez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lachance.

Lachance throws a looping overhand right but Ramirez ducks down to avoid it.

Lachance throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ramirez was covering up waiting for the punch and Lachance finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Lachance is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Ramirez wants to stand but Lachance is controlling the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ramirez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lachance manages to avoid it.
Ramirez bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

It looks like Tim Lachance has been cut.
Ramirez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lachance circles away quickly and effectively.
Ramirez fails to land with a series of punches.
Ramirez fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Lachance on the side of the head.
Lachance avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Lachance misses with a hook to the body
and Ramirez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ramirez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lachance manages to avoid it.
Lachance fails with the takedown.
Jorge Ramirez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Lachance.

Ramirez uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lachance has time to react.
Lachance shoots for a takedown but Ramirez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ramirez throws an overhand right that has Lachance reeling! Ramirez follows up with more punches and Lachance is out cold! This one is all over!
