Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Higgins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David Price has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with John Higgins's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Higgins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David Price! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Higgins fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Higgins shoots in but no luck this time. Higgins tries to bum rush Price with a series of wild strikes but Price uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Price slaps away a takedown attempt from Higgins, before circling back to the center of the mat. Higgins misses with a jab, cross combination.
Price shoots in and bounces Higgins off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Higgins had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Price defends it easily. Price seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Higgins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Price is one step ahead there. Higgins will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Higgins keeping full guard, as Price tries to pass. Price must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Price passes into half guard. Price really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Higgins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Price is taking a breather. Higgins says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Price should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Price throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Higgins won't allow Price to pass to mount. Price not doing much here.
Price is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Price controlling the pace. Higgins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Price in particular looking to stall. Price works his foot free and advances to mount. Price looking to control and managing it successfully. Despite being in the dominant position, David Price just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Price tries for a takedown but Higgins circles away easily and Higgins counters with a two punch combo. Price shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Price looks gassed! Higgins is looking for a sweep. Price is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Higgins is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Price pulls his head out easily. Higgins gets full guard. Price preventing the sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Higgins is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Higgins is looking to stand up but Price isn't so interested in that idea. Price is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Higgins gets full guard. Price is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Higgins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Price is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Price wants to control from the top but Higgins keeps moving.

Higgins is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. John Higgins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now.
