Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Reid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rasor Schwager (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David Reid has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David Reid! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Rasor Schwager! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schwager misses with a few strikes there.
Reid takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Schwager sizes up Reid with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Schwager shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Schwager showed some decent athleticism there. Schwager throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Reid keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Schwager throwing shots but Reid is blocking nicely. Reid wants to improve his position but Schwager is controlling well.
Ground and pound from Schwager. Reid on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Reid wants to sweep but Schwager has passed to side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Reid is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Schwager asserts his dominance and retains side control. Schwager lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Schwager stands up and we're back to a striking position. Schwager has closed the distance and engaged Reid in a clinch.

Schwager is trying to break free. Reid tries for a takedown but Schwager manages to get underhooks.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Reid drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Schwager breaks the clinch.
Schwager will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Reid shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Schwager counters with a single leg into guard. Reid didn't expect that. Reid is breathing heavily. Schwager preventing the sweep. Schwager is stalling in the full guard. Schwager has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Schwager keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Reid's head. Schwager seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schwager thows a big elbow that misses. Schwager controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Schwager wants to control from the top but Reid keeps moving. Reid working a defensive guard but Schwager passes into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Schwager wants to take a breather but Reid is having none of it. Reid makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Reid. Schwager is working Reid over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Schwager looking to sit in guard and control but Reid gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Reid tries to free his leg and advance position but Schwager is retaining full guard. Reid is looking to work some ground and pound but Schwager has wrist control. Reid lands a couple of digs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rasor Schwager dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Reid has his takedown stuffed and Schwager counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Schwager scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Reid wants to improve his position but Schwager is controlling well.
Reid is staying active underneath Schwager, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Despite being in the dominant position, Rasor Schwager just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Reid slips a jab and a cross from Schwager.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schwager looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Reid looking to hit a scissor sweep but Schwager is one step ahead there. Reid bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Schwager's guard. Reid trying to control the position from guard on top but Schwager is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Reid wants to pass the guard but Schwager is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schwager is working an open guard so Reid takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Schwager throws a nice looking combination but Reid bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Reid tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Schwager swivels and escapes. Schwager doesn't succeed with the takedown and Reid counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Reid wants to lay and pray for a moment but Schwager keeps working. Reid is looking to advance position but Schwager won't allow it. Reid trying to control the action but Schwager is working from the bottom. Reid is working for a kimura but Schwager is defending it quite comfortably.

Schwager is controlling Reid's position as best he can from this difficult position. Reid is pressing down on Schwager's thigh, looking to free his foot. Schwager is holding on for now. Rasor Schwager has got the better of the ground game so far. Reid passes to side control. Schwager wants to control but Reid postures up. Reid has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. A left and a right from Schwager both land. Nice combination.

Reid fails with the takedown and Schwager counters with a left and a right that stings Reid. Schwager clinches. Reid stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Reid controlling the action here for a moment.
Reid tries to score a body lock takedown but Schwager shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Schwager lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Reid avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Schwager. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Rasor Schwager will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

so Reid counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Schwager trying to keep a closed guard but Reid is proving a slippery customer.
Reid looking to pass the guard. Reid prevents Schwager from getting back to his feet. Reid lands a couple of decent looking shots. Reid pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Schwager is keeping the position for now. Reid stops Schwager from standing up. Reid trying to control but Schwager is working from the bottom. Schwager thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Reid fails with the takedown and Schwager counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Schwager displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Reid. Schwager throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Reid was covering up waiting for the punch and Schwager finishes the takedown easily into guard. Reid keeping moving, preventing Schwager from controlling successfully. Schwager is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schwager pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Reid is keeping the position for now. Reid looking for a sweep. Not yet Reid, not yet. Schwager postures up.
Reid tries to land a sweep but no joy. Reid has his foot on Schwager's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Schwager works his way back into a safe position though. Reid looking for a sweep. Not yet Reid, not yet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Schwager misses with a few strikes there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reid gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Schwager counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Reid. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Schwager!
Schwager fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Reid, pushing him back against the cage. Reid wants a takedown.

Reid is trying to drag Schwager to the mat but Schwager just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Schwager is stalling here.
Schwager gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Reid.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Schwager wants to break the clinch but can't.
Schwager cracks Reid with a nice body shot. Schwager is pressed up against the cage. Reid has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Schwager down to the mat. Schwager avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Schwager falls off balance throwing a combination
so Reid counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Reid with a flurry of punches that miss. Reid stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Schwager swivels though and keeps the full guard. Reid is fighting to break Schwager's control of his arms but Schwager is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. David Reid has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Schwager pushes Reid off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
And that's the end of the fight! David Reid showed his dominance in that final round. Well Schwager has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
