Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tomasz Misza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nedser Kiely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tomasz Misza has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tomasz Misza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nedser Kiely!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kiely fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Misza sprawls well initially but Kiely persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Kiely working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Misza tries to get to full guard but Kiely has control of the leg.
Kiely landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Misza might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kiely is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Misza reverses the position - he's now on top in Kiely's guard.
Misza could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Kiely looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Kiely wants to stand but Misza is controlling the position.
Kiely wants to sweep here but Misza controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Misza wants to control from the top but Kiely keeps moving.
Kiely doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Misza is looking to work some ground and pound but Kiely has wrist control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Misza moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Misza feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Misza is fighting to break Kiely's control of his arms but Kiely is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and Kiely counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Misza's guard now.

Kiely not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Let's hope that Kiely has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Misza doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Kiely counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Misza's guard now.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Misza is on top in guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

and Misza counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Misza is keen to just control but Kiely is a slippery customer.
Kiely wants to improve his position but Misza is controlling well.
Kiely is looking to control Misza's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kiely avoid being mounted?
Misza is pressing down on Kiely's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kiely is holding on for now.

Misza is keen to just control but Kiely is a slippery customer.
Misza is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Nedser Kiely showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kiely wants to control but Misza is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Misza is looking to stall here but Kiely recovers full guard.
