The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Krukiov is defended easily by Boyd.
Boyd looks to land a right hand but Krukiov moved out of range.
Billy Boyd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Krukiov scores with a crisp jab that stopped Boyd in his tracks.

Krukiov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Krukiov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Boyd is looking to improve his position but Krukiov isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Krukiov is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Boyd to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Boyd shrugs it off.

Krukiov is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Krukiov seems to have recovered his senses.
Boyd drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Krukiov right on the button. Krukiov goes down! Boyd follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Boyd gets the win via TKO!
