Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, TJ Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vince Mimsy!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mimsy slaps away a takedown attempt from Coleman, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Mimsy looks to score with a jab to the body but Coleman is just out of range.
Coleman tries to clinch up but Mimsy circles away and keeps his distance.
Coleman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mimsy as he jumps to the side.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mimsy wants to work for an arm triangle but Coleman is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Mimsy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Coleman is just riding it out for now. Mimsy eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mimsy is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Coleman defends it well.

Mimsy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Coleman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Mimsy is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Coleman's shoulder. That is not cool.

Vince Mimsy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Mimsy closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Mimsy has an Americana. Coleman didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Mimsy is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Mimsy hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
