Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rap Reiplinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirk Bandana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bandana has chosen Los del Rio - La Macarena as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rap Reiplinger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dirk Bandana! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reiplinger misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Reiplinger thows a body shot but no joy. The fighters circling - Reiplinger throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Reiplinger digs a good body shot into Bandana's ribs. Bandana scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Bandana throws an elbow but Reiplinger slips to the side and avoids it well. Reiplinger is trying to improve his position. Bandana thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Bandana looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Bandana is looking to take a break and control but Reiplinger is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reiplinger tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bandana wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Reiplinger manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Reiplinger won't allow Bandana to pass to mount. Bandana seems to be looking for submissions.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jab, jab by Reiplinger - just one landing. Reiplinger misses with a hook. Reiplinger with a jab. Bandana shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bandana tries for a takedown but Reiplinger sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Bandana gets a takedown into half guard. Bandana wants to work for an arm triangle but Reiplinger is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Bandana trying to control the action but Reiplinger is working from the bottom. Reiplinger is concentrating on defense, preventing Bandana from advancing position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bandana throwing shots but Reiplinger is blocking nicely. Reiplinger is looking for a sweep. Bandana is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bandana is working for a kimura here but Reiplinger manages to reverse the position and he's now in Bandana's guard.

Reiplinger throwing strikes but missing. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reiplinger passes easily into side control. Nice work. Bandana sneaks back into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Reiplinger is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Bandana works his way to full guard. Good work. Bandana pulls Reiplinger in close to prevent any damage. Reiplinger trying to control the position from guard on top but Bandana is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reiplinger has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bandana is proving hard to escape from. Reiplinger pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bandana is keeping the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Rap Reiplinger will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Bandana shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bandana in particular looking to stall. Reiplinger keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Reiplinger trying to hold on to Bandana's head to control him but Bandana postures up.
Bandana wants to pass the guard but Reiplinger is defending well. Bandana is looking for a kimura but Reiplinger is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bandana to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bandana thows a huge punch but Reiplinger dodges it nicely.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bandana shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Reiplinger sprawls well. Reiplinger wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bandana gets slowly back to his feet. Reiplinger throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bandana stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Reiplinger throws a series of punches but Bandana avoids them all with ease. Reiplinger misses with the combination.
Bandana ducks under a wild hook from Reiplinger. Reiplinger cracks Bandana with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Bandana feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Bandana stands and throws Reiplinger's legs to the side, diving into side control. Reiplinger struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reiplinger is looking to regain half guard here but Bandana keeps moving and retains side control. Bandana is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Reiplinger has escaped the position, nice work there. Bandana is trying to ground and pound but Reiplinger uses the momentary lack of control by Bandana to regain half guard. Bandana is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bandana wants to take a breather but Reiplinger is having none of it. Reiplinger tries to get to full guard but Bandana has control of the leg. Bandana performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Reiplinger wants to control but Bandana is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bandana shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Bandana moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Reiplinger has worked his arm free - good work by Reiplinger!

Bandana feints and as Reiplinger raises his hands in defense, Bandana changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bandana wants to control from the top but Reiplinger keeps moving. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Reiplinger holds on and takes a little breather. Bandana throws and elbow that misses. Reiplinger uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bandana's guard. Nice move by Reiplinger! Reiplinger throwing strikes from guard but Bandana blocks nicely. Bandana controls Reiplinger momentarily but Reiplinger frees himself. Bandana keeping moving, preventing Reiplinger from controlling successfully. Bandana lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Reiplinger!

Reiplinger is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Reiplinger is trying to control Bandana's posture but Bandana avoids it. Bandana throws an elbow but Reiplinger slips to the side and avoids it well. Bandana taking a break here but Reiplinger is having none of it and regains half guard. Bandana seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Reiplinger does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Left hook, right uppercut from Reiplinger. Rap Reiplinger is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Reiplinger jabs at Bandana's body. Bandana walks into a stiff left hand from Reiplinger. Reiplinger scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Dirk Bandana has been cut. Bandana takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Bandana shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Reiplinger pinned against the cage. Reiplinger gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Bandana shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Reiplinger defends it nicely. Reiplinger thuds his right hand into Bandana's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Reiplinger here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bandana with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Reiplinger to score with a decent uppercut. Rap Reiplinger is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bandana shoots for a takedown but Reiplinger saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Rap Reiplinger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dirk Bandana. Excellent takedown into side control there by Bandana. Reiplinger manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Reiplinger looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bandana with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bandana keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Bandana blocking the ground and pound attempt from Reiplinger. Reiplinger is looking to take a break and control but Bandana is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Reiplinger thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
And that's the end of the fight! Rap Reiplinger showed his dominance in that final round. I think Reiplinger has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
