Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Goran Schwarzeneg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saso Al Hazan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Goran Schwarzeneg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Saso Al Hazan!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Hazan plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Al Hazan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Al Hazan won't allow Schwarzeneg to get back to his feet.
Schwarzeneg pulls Al Hazan in close to prevent any damage.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Al Hazan has hold of one of Schwarzeneg's legs. Schwarzeneg is fighting the takedown attempt but Al Hazan gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Schwarzeneg kicks Al Hazan off and gets to his feet.
Al Hazan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Schwarzeneg stalks Al Hazan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Al Hazan's face. Al Hazan staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Saso Al Hazan has been cut.
Schwarzeneg scores with a decent looking hook.

Schwarzeneg closes the distance and clinches.
Al Hazan letting Schwarzeneg take a breather here.
Al Hazan tries to pull guard but Schwarzeneg holds him up against the cage and eventually Al Hazan drops back down to his feet.

Schwarzeneg lands a takedown into guard.
Schwarzeneg wants to control from the top but Al Hazan keeps moving.
Al Hazan wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Schwarzeneg stands and throws Al Hazan's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Al Hazan wants to control but Schwarzeneg postures up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Schwarzeneg tries to stand but Al Hazan is controlling his head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Goran Schwarzeneg dominated that round.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Al Hazan tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Al Hazan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Al Hazan is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Well, if Schwarzeneg is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Schwarzeneg is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Al Hazan is trying to control but can't.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Al Hazan can do anything to dispel that myth.

Al Hazan feints and as Schwarzeneg raises his hands in defense, Al Hazan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Al Hazan moves into range and connects with a jab.
Schwarzeneg tries to clinch
and Al Hazan counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Schwarzeneg is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Schwarzeneg is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Al Hazan has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Al Hazan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Schwarzeneg keeps working.
Schwarzeneg tries to bench press Al Hazan off him but Al Hazan keeps the position.
Al Hazan moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Al Hazan has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Saso Al Hazan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Saso Al Hazan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Schwarzeneg has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
