Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Clark Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomato Can (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tomato Can is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clark Kent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tomato Can!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Can looks to score with a jab to the body but Kent is just out of range.
Can scores with a body shot.
Kent throws a series of strikes that have Can backpedaling.


It looks like Tomato Can has been cut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Can.
Kent tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Can paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Can swings for the body but Kent moves out of range.
Can takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Kent moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
A punch lands to the side of Can 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Kent misses with a jab to the body

and Can counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kent gets full guard.

Kent is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Can defends well.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Can accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Can is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Kent had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Can defends it easily.

Kent working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Can doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Can manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kent controls Can momentarily but Can frees himself.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Can trying to control the position from guard on top but Kent is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Can working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kent misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Can.
Kent avoids the body shot from Can.
Can throws a big shot that misses.
Can clobbers Kent with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.


It looks like Clark Kent has been cut.
Clark Kent is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kent scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Kent fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Can looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Can closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Can stands up over Kent, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Can is working Kent over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

That was a close round but I would say that Clark Kent will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

The fighters circle momentarily. Kent darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Kent takes a swing at Can's ribcage but misses.
Can is breathing heavily.

Kent tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Kent is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kent looks to score with a jab to the body but Can is just out of range.
Can drops his hands momentarily and Kent takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Kent works Can's body with a nice hook.
Can walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Kent fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Can manages to avoid it.
Kent lands a head shot.
Kent misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Can counters with a nice body shot.
Kent keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Can moves forwards but Kent connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Kent takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.


Can is rocked!
Kent lands with a nice combination. Can backs away looking to recover.
Can is still on wobbly legs! Can Kent finish him?
Kent ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kent lands a body shot.

Kent scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Kent closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Can! Kent dives in looking to finish! Can is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
