The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
dos Santos looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
dos Santos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Peralta.
Peralta throws a leg kick but dos Santos checks it.

Peralta had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. dos Santos is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Peralta Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take dos Santos's back instead.

That was a close round but I would say that Rafael dos Santos will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
dos Santos looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Peralta is fending him off so far but dos Santos persists. Nope, Peralta circles away and we're back to standing.
dos Santos shoots in looking for a takedown. Peralta tries to sprawl out of it but dos Santos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Peralta manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Peralta drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but dos Santos manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Peralta has dos Santos in his guard.
