Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Salazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and shinya aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). aoki has chosen Undefeated Joe Hayde as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salazar tries to land a leg kick but aoki saw it coming and moves away.
No luck for aoki with that takedown attempt.
aoki shoots for a double leg takedown but Salazar sprawls well. He's pushed aoki's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Salazar misses with a wild combination.
shinya aoki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from aoki.
Miguel Salazar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of shinya aoki.
aoki shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Salazar pinned against the cage. Salazar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Salazar misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
aoki takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like shinya aoki has been cut.
aoki shoots in for a takedown but Salazar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Salazar clobbers aoki with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
aoki needs to keep his hands up - Salazar had a free shot at his head there.
Salazar changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
aoki looks gassed!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
aoki checks a leg kick.
Salazar lands with a right hand.
Salazar feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to aoki's calf.
aoki is trying desperately to land a takedown but Salazar is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for aoki.
Salazar throws a nice looking combination but aoki bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Salazar displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from aoki.
Salazar looks to land a combination. aoki sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Salazar scores with the left hand. aoki knows he should have avoided that one.
Salazar fails to land with a series of punches.
Salazar is looking to slow aoki down with leg kicks.
Salazar lands a left and a right that send aoki crashing to the mat, dazed. Salazar thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
aoki is rocked!
That has opened up shinya aoki's cut even more.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
aoki dives in and grabs Salazar's left leg, looking for a takedown. Salazar pushes down on aoki's head and hops out.
Salazar misses with a wild combination.
Salazar drops aoki with a beautiful combination! aoki stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Salazar is looking for the KO!
aoki is still on wobbly legs! Can Salazar finish him?
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Salazar has cracked aoki with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Salazar lands another huge swinging hook and aoki tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save aoki, before Salazar can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Miguel Salazar!
