Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Tylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul Tylor told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vitor Vega! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paul Tylor! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tylor gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Tylor looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Tylor is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Vega stands up and waves to Tylor to follow him. Vega misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tylor.
Tylor dodges the punch combination from Vega.
Vega shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Tylor bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vega's guard. Vega looking to control.
Tylor wants to control from the top but Vega keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tylor looking to sit in guard and control but Vega gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Tylor is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Vega showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Tylor working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vega.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Tylor avoids the body shot from Vega.
Vega tries to close the distance and clinch but Tylor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Tylor lands a lovely overhand right. Vega avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Tylor scores with a hook to the body. Vega takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Tylor swinging wilding here.
Vega misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tylor.
Tylor lands with an overhand left. Vega has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Vega there as he acknowledges the shot. Paul Tylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tylor thows a body shot but no joy. Tylor moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. A punch combination from Vega misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tylor will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Vega throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tylor's waist but Tylor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vega off to one side. Vega shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Tylor misses with the combination.
Vega shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tylor napping and manages to drive through into side control! Vega stands up and beckons Tylor to his feet. Tylor lands with a shot to the body. Vega is breathing heavily. Vega fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vitor Vega. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tylor ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vega takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Tylor dips down and scores with a jab to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Vega avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tylor drops Vega with a left right combo! Tylor follows him down to the ground into side control.
Vega is rocked!
It looks like Vitor Vega has been cut. Tylor has an Americana. Vega didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Tylor is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Tylor hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Paul Tylor!
