PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dallas Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Outbackerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Outbackerson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by the mad dingo howl. On his way into the cage it seems that Dallas Thomas has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dallas Thomas seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mick Outbackerson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Outbackerson shoots in and bounces Thomas off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Dallas Thomas will probably get the nod.

Outbackerson is stalling here. Thomas is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Outbackerson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Thomas has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Outbackerson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Thomas can't fight it off and eventually Outbackerson manages to take the fight to the floor. Thomas looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Outbackerson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Thomas manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Outbackerson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Outbackerson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Outbackerson closes the distance and clinches up with Thomas, looking for a takedown. Outbackerson pushes Thomas against the cage but Thomas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Outbackerson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Outbackerson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Outbackerson has control of Thomas's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Thomas regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Thomas takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Thomas wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

Mick Outbackerson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Outbackerson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
