Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Seb Roland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Batista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Andrew Berry and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batista lands a nice hook to Roland's body. Roland takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Batista tries to close the distance and clinch up but Roland swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dave Batista seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Batista rushes Roland and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Still in the clinch, Batista scores with a nice short uppercut.
Roland jumps guard but Batista stands there with Roland around his waist. Roland gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Batista makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Roland fails to pull the fight into his guard.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Seb Roland. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Roland jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Batista walks away with a smile on his face. Roland gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Batista leaves Roland with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Batista fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Roland winds up and cracks Batista with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Roland has an Americana. Batista didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Roland is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Roland hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
