Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jason Davenport (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emelianenko has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Fedor Emelianenko looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davenport shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Davenport is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Davenport seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Davenport working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Still in half guard, Davenport seems content to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Davenport seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Emelianenko for as long as he can get away with.
Davenport drops an elbow to the side of Emelianenko's head.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jason Davenport just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Davenport has an Americana. Emelianenko didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Davenport is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Davenport hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
