Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between jim crow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Romanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). crow comes to the cage accompanied by Audioslave- Cohise. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

crow pushes Romanov up against the cage in a clinch.
Romanov is trying to work for a single leg takedown but crow pulls him back up using the underhooks.

crow manages to pull guard.
Romanov sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Romanov stops crow from standing up.
Romanov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Romanov trying to control the position from guard on top but crow is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Despite being in the dominant position, Andrei Romanov just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Romanov shoots in for a takedown but crow shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
jim crow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrei Romanov.

Romanov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before crow can pounce on him.
Romanov looks gassed!

crow content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

crow is looking to take a break and control but Romanov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
crow looks up at the clock and then as Romanov takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, crow smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

crow is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Romanov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

crow shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. crow showed some decent athleticism there.

crow wants to stand but Romanov has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

crow tries to pass to full mount but Romanov defends it.

crow decides to return to a standing position.

crow fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Romanov, pushing him back against the cage.

crow goes for a takedown attempt but Romanov pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

crow bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

crow lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Romanov is working to avoid the ground and pound but crow connects with a decent elbow.

crow is working to tighten is grip on Romanov's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Romanov has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but crow is really squeezing tight and eventually Romanov passes out! crow breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
