Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexei Kyznetsov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Wai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyznetsov comes to the cage accompanied by Crush It Down by Crooked X. Daniel Wai acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexei Kyznetsov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Daniel Wai! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wai throws a nice looking combination but Kyznetsov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Wai scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Wai is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kyznetsov is just riding it out for now. Wai eventually gives up the hold. Wai looks gassed! Kyznetsov regains full guard. Nicely done. Kyznetsov controls Wai momentarily but Wai frees himself. Kyznetsov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kyznetsov controls Wai momentarily but Wai frees himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kyznetsov shoots and misses and Wai counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Kyznetsov moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Kyznetsov is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kyznetsov throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Kyznetsov looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Wai pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kyznetsov is keeping the position for now.

Kyznetsov wants to sweep here but Wai controlling him for the moment. Kyznetsov controls Wai momentarily but Wai frees himself.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kyznetsov tries to clinch and Wai counters with a single leg into guard. Kyznetsov didn't expect that. Wai wants to control from the top but Kyznetsov keeps moving. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kyznetsov is looking to stand up but Wai isn't so interested in that idea. Wai preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kyznetsov is working hard here to advance position. Kyznetsov is looking to stand back up but Wai counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Kyznetsov. Kyznetsov is looking to escape. Kyznetsov on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Wai frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Wai lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Kyznetsov wants to hold on but Wai pushes him away. Wai controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kyznetsov really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Wai manages to capitalize on a mistake by Kyznetsov to take his back! Wai controlling well, preventing Kyznetsov from escaping the position.
Kyznetsov fending off the submission attempt from Wai. Wai lands a shot to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Wai dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Kyznetsov fails in his attempt to clinch. Kyznetsov uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Kyznetsov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Wai counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Kyznetsov wants to sweep but no luck. Kyznetsov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wai manages to get himself to full guard.
Wai wants to sweep here but Kyznetsov controlling him for the moment. Wai is looking for a triangle but Kyznetsov pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kyznetsov trying to control the position from guard on top but Wai is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wai wants to improve his position but instead Kyznetsov has moved into half guard.
Kyznetsov is working for a kimura but Wai is defending it quite comfortably.
Wai is trying to stand up here but Kyznetsov is controlling him well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kyznetsov wants to pass to mount but Wai is defending the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kyznetsov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Wai counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kyznetsov's guard now. Wai stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kyznetsov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kyznetsov tries to land a sweep but no joy. Wai must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wai drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kyznetsov dives on top into guard. Wai is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wai is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Wai might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kyznetsov kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Wai is looking for a triangle here but Kyznetsov uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Wai is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Kyznetsov wants to control but Wai is keeping him busy. You can see the frustration on Wai's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Wai showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
Wai takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Kyznetsov pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kyznetsov shoots and misses and Wai counters with a takedown into side control. Kyznetsov wants to control but Wai postures up. Kyznetsov is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Wai off and has taken his back! Wai wants to escape the position but for the time being he's just trying to control the pace. Kyznetsov has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Wai! Can he survive? No! He's out! Kyznetsov gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Alexei Kyznetsov!
