The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faglio throws an uppercut from half a mile away. James sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Faglio looks to land a right hand but James moved out of range.
Faglio jabs James right on the nose. James blinks but takes it well.
Faglio tries to close the distance and clinch but James swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Faglio throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
James slips under a jab from Faglio.
Faglio connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Faglio misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Faglio tries to clinch but James moves out of range.
James closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Faglio throws a body punch but James moves out of range.
Faglio thows a left - swing and a miss!
James lands with a nice combination. Faglio backs away looking to recover.
James slips a jab and a cross from Faglio.

James uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Faglio.

Faglio throws a combination but it was largely blocked by James.
James throws a right hand that Faglio ducks under and follows up with a left that Faglio also avoids with ease.
Ars Faglio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

James shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Faglio's guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Faglio can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as James controls the pace.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Faglio can do anything to dispel that myth.

James is really struggling to control Faglio but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Faglio wants to get back to his feet but James drags him back down.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

James tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no James has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Faglio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with James. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
