The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morgan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cooper circles away. Cooper looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Morgan thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Morgan has his feet on Cooper's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Nice takedown defense from Cooper. No joy for Morgan on that attempt. Cooper lands a big uppercut and Morgan crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Morgan looks OK. Cooper waves Morgan back to his feet!
Morgan is rocked!
It looks like Ian Morgan has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Morgan shoots in but Cooper avoids the takedown attempt easily. William Cooper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ian Morgan. Cooper clinches. Cooper breaks from the clinch.
Cooper looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Morgan is still in real trouble! Can Cooper finish him? Cooper has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Morgan is proving hard to escape from. Morgan seems to have recovered his senses. Cooper stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Morgan swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cooper got a little sloppy there for a moment and Morgan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cooper has managed to get both his arms back between Morgan's legs - danger averted. Morgan looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Cooper missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Cooper postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Morgan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cooper, into his guard. Morgan stopping the sweep attempt from Cooper. Cooper keeping moving, preventing Morgan from controlling successfully. Cooper knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Morgan on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Cooper scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Morgan on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Cooper lands a left and a right that send Morgan crashing to the mat, dazed. Cooper thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Cooper fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Morgan sprawls well initially but Cooper persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Cooper looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Morgan should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Morgan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cooper is working away from the top position though. Cooper wants to control but Morgan is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cooper wants to work for an arm triangle but Morgan is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cooper closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Morgan is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Morgan is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Morgan is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Cooper's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Morgan tries to kick Cooper off but Cooper keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Morgan is looking to control Cooper's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Morgan avoid being mounted? Cooper wants to stand but Morgan has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Morgan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cooper's waist but Cooper gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Morgan off to one side. Cooper lands a high kick!
Morgan looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
That has opened up Ian Morgan's cut even more. A jab from Cooper does it's job there. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Morgan has eaten all the pies! Cooper rushes Morgan and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Cooper cracks Morgan with a nice body shot. Cooper breaks from the clinch.
Cooper scores with a hook. Cooper punishes Morgan's body with a nice straight punch. Cooper scores with a jab. Morgan acknowledges it with a nod of the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cooper shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Morgan looking for a sweep. Not yet Morgan, not yet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Morgan controlling the position. Cooper trying to control but Morgan is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cooper distracts Morgan with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Morgan controls Cooper momentarily but Cooper frees himself. Morgan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Cooper postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cooper wants to control from the top but Morgan keeps moving.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Cooper!

Morgan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cooper's half guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Morgan performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Morgan decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cooper lands a jab to Morgan's midsection. A right-left combo lands from Cooper. Morgan throws a leg kick but Cooper sees it coming and moves out of range. Morgan takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Cooper scores with a push kick. Morgan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cooper did well to prevent Morgan getting side control. Morgan keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Morgan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cooper's head. Cooper is looking to control Morgan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cooper avoid being mounted? Morgan perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Morgan stands up from half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cooper pushes Morgan up against the ropes in a clinch. Cooper breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Cooper clinches up with Morgan and pushes him back against the ropes. Cooper's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cooper lands a nice hook to Morgan's body. Morgan takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Cooper displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Morgan takes a body punch but keeps moving. Cooper throws a one two combo.
Cooper circles away from the clinch attempt and Cooper counters with a one-two to the body. Cooper slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Cooper lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Cooper. Morgan shoots in for a double leg but Cooper sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cooper scores with a jab to the head.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Morgan. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Morgan trying to control the position but Cooper is working away.

That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Morgan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Morgan is looking to take a break and control but Cooper is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cooper tries to buck Morgan off but Morgan is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morgan goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Cooper has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Morgan but great work by Cooper. Cooper cracks Morgan with an elbow. That is naaassty. Cooper working the head with strikes. The strikes coming from Cooper are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Cooper has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Morgan shoots in but no luck this time. Morgan takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
William Cooper is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cooper throws a right and a left that Morgan avoids nicely. Cooper closes the distance and clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cooper breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Cooper shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Morgan manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Cooper is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Morgan can do to turn this around? Morgan is working an open guard so Cooper takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Cooper is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Cooper stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cooper wants it to stay on the feet. William Cooper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ian Morgan. Cooper connects with a jab. Morgan wants to clinch but Cooper slips to the side and Cooper counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Cooper throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Morgan's head. Cooper looks to land a combination but Morgan avoids it well. A head kick by Morgan misses and Cooper counters with a straight right hand. Cooper takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Cooper with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Cooper looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cooper scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
And that's the end of the fight! William Cooper showed his dominance in that final round. Well Cooper has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
