Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carl Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kokushi Muso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Muso has chosen Here we Go as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carl Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kokushi Muso! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jonathan Paton and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Muso has Johnson up against the cage in a clinch.
Johnson looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Muso displaying some good clinch control by pressing Johnson up against the cage. Johnson tries for a takedown but Muso manages to get underhooks.
Johnson is trying to drag Muso to the mat but Muso just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Muso prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Muso has clasped his hands together around Johnson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Muso stands up and we're back to a striking position. Muso darts in and clinches Johnson up against the cage. Muso breaks the clinch.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Muso breaks from the clinch.
Muso closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Johnson to the mat! Johnson manages to get full guard. Muso controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Muso has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Muso landing some decent shots from guard. Muso decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Johnson, up you get! Muso moves into the clinch. Johnson wants to break free but Muso has control.
Muso has picked Johnson up - he's going for a ride! Muso dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Muso not doing much here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Muso closes the distance and clinches. Muso has hold of one of Johnson's legs. Johnson is fighting the takedown attempt but Muso gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Muso throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Muso gets to his feet - Johnson follows without any prompting. Carl Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Muso gets a clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Muso lands a knee to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Muso is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Muso looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Muso lands a nice short elbow. Muso stalling. Muso stands up from half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Muso has taken the fight to the clinch.
Muso crunches a lovely knee into Johnson's ribcage. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Muso. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kokushi Muso dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Muso lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Muso tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Muso stands up and beckons Johnson to his feet. Muso scores with a head kick.
Muso has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Muso drives through and clinches with Johnson against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Muso putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Johnson in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Muso has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Johnson regains guard immediately. Muso slips nicely into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Muso is taking a breather. Johnson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Muso stands up and beckons Johnson to join him on the feet. Johnson with a poor takedown and Muso holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Muso landing some nice looking knees to the body.

The crowd are getting on Muso's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch. Muso is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Muso stalling.
Muso pulls guard. Johnson wants to control from the top but Muso keeps moving. Muso has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Johnson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Muso has a closed guard, preventing Johnson from standing up. Muso is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Muso breaks from the clinch.
Muso forces Johnson back against the cage and clinches. Muso gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Johnson regains guard.
Johnson controls Muso momentarily but Muso frees himself. Muso stands up and waves to Johnson to follow him. Muso fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Johnson avoids it really well and circles away. Johnson fails with the takedown and Muso counters with a flying knee. Nice.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Muso shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Johnson but Johnson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Johnson leaves Muso with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Carl Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kokushi Muso. Johnson throws a lazy head kick and Muso counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kokushi Muso has got the better of the ground game so far. Muso tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Johnson. Johnson desperately trying to maintain half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Muso perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kokushi Muso showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Muso lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Kokushi Muso seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Muso as Johnson tries to tie him up. Muso unloads a knee to the mid-section. Johnson lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Muso utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Muso lands a good knee to the midsection. Johnson won't want to take too many of those. Muso gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Come on Muso - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Muso crunches a lovely knee into Johnson's ribcage. Muso utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Muso gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Johnson taking some punishment here, with Muso in his half guard. Muso is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Muso stops Johnson from getting back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Horrible takedown by Muso or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnson which made him look bad.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Muso fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Muso moves into the clinch successfully.
Muso escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Muso closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Johnson missing with punches from the bottom.
Muso working Johnson over with strikes. Johnson trying to get back to full guard but Muso takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! BOOM! Muso connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Muso postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Johnson looks a forlorn figure.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Muso dominating with strikes here. Muso takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Muso with a couple of short strikes. Muso putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Johnson wants to control but Muso is having none of it. Muso breaks from Johnson's wrist control and lands an elbow. Muso working Johnson over with strikes here. Muso controlling the position easily from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Muso trying to control but he's not successful this time. Muso lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Johnson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Muso content just to control the position here. Kokushi Muso is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Kokushi Muso comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Muso has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
