Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Great (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sly Randolph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alexander Great! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sly Randolph! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Great circles away from the clinch attempt.
Randolph shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Great as he avoids it easily. Randolph tries to close the distance and clinch but Great swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Randolph fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Great, pushing him back against the cage. Great blocks a body shot from Randolph. Great decides to pull guard. Great will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Great is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Randolph defends well. Randolph stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Great swivels though and keeps the full guard. Randolph has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Great is proving hard to escape from.
That's one minute gone in the round. Randolph trying to control but Great is working from the bottom. Randolph stands and steps away. Great gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Randolph is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Randolph tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Great paws at him with a jab and circles away. Randolph shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Great sprawls well. Great wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Randolph gets slowly back to his feet. Sly Randolph seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Randolph stuffs the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Randolph shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Randolph showed some decent athleticism there. Randolph is trying to control the action in half guard but Great is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Randolph wants to work for an arm triangle but Great is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Randolph is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Great has managed to free his arm - good work. Great wants to control but Randolph is keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Randolph trying to control from Great's half guard. Great has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Great has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Randolph can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Randolph has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Great is proving hard to escape from.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Randolph throwing strikes from guard but Great blocks nicely. Great looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Randolph has picked Great up and slammed him! Great can't keep hold of the triangle and Randolph manages to pass to side control! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Randolph controlling the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sly Randolph dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Great leaves Randolph with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Randolph tries for a takedown but Great circles away easily and Great counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Great. Randolph bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Great's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Randolph trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Great keeping full guard, as Randolph tries to pass. Randolph has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Great is proving hard to escape from. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Randolph drops back looking for a leg! Great is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Great manages to kick Randolph off! Randolph jumps back into Great's guard. Randolph slips nicely into half guard. Great trying to control but Randolph postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Randolph trying to control the action but Great is working from the bottom. Randolph is working for a submission of some sort.
Great is refusing to be controlled, as Randolph sits in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Randolph stands up from half guard. Great takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Randolph shoots in but Great avoids the takedown attempt easily. Alexander Great has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sly Randolph.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Randolph feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Randolph trying to control the position from guard on top but Great is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Randolph with a flurry of punches that miss. Randolph wants to stand but Great is controlling his posture from full guard. Randolph drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Randolph seems to have locked his on tight now - Great screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Randolph, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Sly Randolph! Sly Randolph is the new bantamweight champion!
