Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Greg LaFleche! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! LaFleche stuffs the takedown attempt from Colling. Colling gets slowly back to his feet. Ed Colling seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. LaFleche jabbing away but nothing is landing. Colling shoots in and drives through. LaFleche sprawls well. Colling throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around LaFleche's waist but Colling gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Colling off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ed Colling. That's going to take a lot out of him. Colling fails to land the takedown. Colling is breathing heavily. Colling fails in his attempt to clinch. LaFleche moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Colling looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Colling wants to pass the guard but LaFleche is defending well. LaFleche keeping control of the position. Colling is trying to control the action in half guard but LaFleche is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Colling uses his free foot to push down on LaFleche's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for LaFleche. LaFleche is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. LaFleche tries to hold on but Colling postures up. LaFleche wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Colling.
LaFleche holds on for dear life, controlling Colling's posture momentarily. LaFleche slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Colling can do anything to dispel that myth. LaFleche controlling the position well. LaFleche gets back to full guard.
