Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Tyler!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ioki Fujinami!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Dean Styles and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Tyler looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A punch combination from Fujinami misses.
Fujinami closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tyler to the mat! Tyler manages to get full guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Ioki Fujinami just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Fujinami closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tyler circles away.

Tyler is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Fujinami can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Fujinami drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fujinami jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Fujinami must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Tyler manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fujinami manages to get himself to full guard.
Jake Tyler overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Tyler is nestled in close to Fujinami, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
