Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Conway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Finn Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fighter has chosen Helsinki 78-82 - Crusin' as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Conway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Finn Fighter!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Conway as he avoids it easily.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Fighter has eaten all the pies!

Fighter closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Conway did well to prevent Fighter getting side control.

Conway wants to get back to full guard.
Conway trying to control but Fighter postures up.
Conway is looking to improve his position.
Fighter is looking to advance position but Conway won't allow it.
Conway on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Conway tries to get out of the position.
Fighter lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fighter thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Conway's head.
Fighter thows a huge punch but Conway dodges it nicely.
Conway is looking for a sweep. Fighter is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Fighter thows a huge punch but Conway dodges it nicely.
Conway knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fighter on the ground.

Fighter is landing with some decent strikes but Conway is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Conway is in all sorts of trouble here.
A nice elbow there by Fighter.
Conway is breathing heavily.

Fighter has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Conway is bucking up trying to escape but Fighter cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Conway tries to hold on but Fighter postures up.
Conway is wriggling around trying to escape.
Fighter postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Conway looks a forlorn figure.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fighter cracks Conway with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fighter lands a big shot there that rocks Conway but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Finn Fighter dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Fighter closes the distance and clinches up with Conway, looking for a takedown. Fighter pushes Conway against the cage but Conway circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Horrible takedown by Fighter or perhaps it was just good defense by Conway which made him look bad.
Fighter shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Conway but Conway pushes him off and we're back to square one.
James Conway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Finn Fighter.
Conway scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Conway throws a combination. Fighter tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fighter shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Conway throws a right hand that Fighter ducks under and follows up with a left that Fighter also avoids with ease.

Conway thuds his right hand into Fighter's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Conway catches Fighter with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Conway pivots, looking for a leg kick but Fighter is out of range and Conway settles back down.

Conway connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Conway lands with a shot to the body.
Conway is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Conway looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Conway throws a push kick but Fighter slaps the foot to one side.
Conway is looking to wear down Fighter with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Conway's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Conway duly obliges.
Fighter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Conway's waist but Conway gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fighter off to one side.

Fighter shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Conway pinned against the cage. Conway gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Conway throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fighter.
Conway is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Conway stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Conway wants it to stay on the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Conway, as that shot connected.
Conway throws a chopping leg kick but Fighter manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Conway goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Nice straight punches there by Conway. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Conway.
Conway stalks Fighter and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fighter's face. Fighter staggers backwards, shaken.
James Conway is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Conway fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Fighter walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Nice shot lands for Conway.

Fighter doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Fighter closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Conway is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Fighter asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Conway is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fighter can do to turn this around?
