Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kimbo Lice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ari Vanhala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vanhala has chosen Bad Religion - Generator as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanhala tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lice swivels and escapes.
Vanhala lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Vanhala throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lice slips a jab and a cross from Vanhala.
Kimbo Lice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vanhala throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lice throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Vanhala falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lice counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Ari Vanhala has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vanhala throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lice sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lice connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Vanhala momentarily.

Vanhala changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lice looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Vanhala wants to control but Lice is keeping him busy.
Lice is trying to get back to his feet.

Lice regains half guard, as Vanhala was trying to land strikes.

Lice on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lice tries to get out of the position.

Vanhala is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Lice pushes Vanhala off looking to stand but Vanhala dives back in and keeps control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Vanhala uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lice.
Vanhala rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lice moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vanhala uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lice.

and Lice counters with a stiff right hand.
Lice will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lice throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Vanhala cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Lice misses with a looping left.
Lice looks to score with a jab to the body but Vanhala is just out of range.
Vanhala misses with a hook to the body
and Lice connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lice fails to land with a series of punches.

and Vanhala takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Vanhala falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lice makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Lice stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Vanhala is rocked!
Vanhala looks for a takedown but Lice sprawls well.

Kimbo Lice is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Lice sends Vanhala crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Lice is motioning to the referee to let Vanhala up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Vanhala takes a swing at Lice's ribcage but misses.
Vanhala thows a body shot but no joy.
Vanhala seems to have recovered his senses.
Lice lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Vanhala is looking to close the distance but Lice sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Vanhala crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Vanhala is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
