Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jefferson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kai paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kai stuffs the takedown attempt from Jefferson. Jefferson gets slowly back to his feet.
Jefferson shoots in but Kai avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kai circles away from the clinch attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jefferson fails with an attempt to clinch.

Kai misses with a takedown
and Jefferson counters with a takedown into side control.
Jefferson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kai keeps working.
Kai is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Kai tries to roll over but Jefferson keeps him under control.
Jefferson throws a strike but Kai avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Kai lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jefferson!
Jefferson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kai moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Jefferson has worked his arm free - good work by Jefferson!
Kai is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jefferson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jefferson strikes from the bottom but Kai takes advantage and advances to full mount!
Jefferson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jefferson is in trouble now - Kai has advanced to mount!
Jefferson is breathing heavily.
Jefferson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Kai working for a submission but Jefferson is keeping him at bay.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jefferson tries to reverse the position but Kai maintains control.
Jefferson is working hard here to advance position.
Kai working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

That was a close round but I would say that Jonny Jefferson will probably get the nod.

Kai closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kai lands in his opponent's guard.

Jefferson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kai advances to mount.
Jefferson is desperately trying to improve his position but Kai has a good base and remains in mount.
Kai looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Jefferson wants to control but Kai is having none of it.
Kai is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jefferson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Jefferson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Kai is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jefferson is surviving well by controlling Kai's body position as best he can.
Kai jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jefferson manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Jefferson gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Cobra Kai showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Jefferson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Kai drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Kai won't allow Jefferson to sweep him here.
Jefferson is trying to control the position but Kai postures up.
Kai stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jefferson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
