Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcus Neumyer! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Neumyer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Gracie throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Neumyer avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Neumyer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gracie is keeping the position for now. Neumyer passes Gracie's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Neumyer landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Neumyer tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gracie knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Neumyer prevents Gracie from improving his position. Neumyer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gracie actively working from the bottom here. Gracie is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Neumyer pulls his head out easily. Gracie is breathing heavily. Gracie looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Neumyer prevents Gracie from improving his position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Gracie with a poor takedown so Neumyer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Neumyer should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Neumyer trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. Gracie preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Neumyer trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Neumyer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gracie is keeping the position for now. Neumyer slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Neumyer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Gracie keeping full guard, as Neumyer tries to pass. Gracie keeping moving, preventing Neumyer from controlling successfully. Neumyer is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Neumyer scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Gracie gets back to full guard.
Gracie striking from his own guard. Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Neumyer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Neumyer showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Gracie being controlled here, momentarily. Gracie looking to sweep here. No luck so far. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gracie is on top in guard.
Gracie stands and throws Neumyer's legs to the side, diving into side control. Gracie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Neumyer knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Gracie working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Gracie in side control lands a decent elbow.
It looks like Marcus Neumyer has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Neumyer is working to avoid the ground and pound but Gracie connects with a decent elbow. Gracie tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Neumyer can't do much from the bottom here. Gracie is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Neumyer is trying to escape and Gracie transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Neumyer is forced to tap! Nice work there by Gracie! Very nice indeed!
