Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andre Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Frank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Bob Frank was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andre Rua! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Frank! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frank swinging wilding here.
Frank fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rua sprawls well initially but Frank persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Frank thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Rua trying to control here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rua wants to control but Frank is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Rua throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Frank counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rua! Frank avoids the attempt from Rua to control. Frank trying to control but Rua is having none of it. Frank is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Rua is looking to get to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Frank throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Rua because Frank loaded up on that one. Frank pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Rua stops Frank from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Frank stands up from mount. Strange move. Frank moves into the clinch successfully.
Rua lands a good knee to the midsection. Frank won't want to take too many of those. Frank stalling in the clinch.
Frank looks gassed! Rua tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Rua is trying to maintain a safe position but Frank gets an underhook and turns Rua into the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rua is trying to break free. Frank tries to circle away but Rua has him pinned against the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Rua is looking to control Frank's arms but Frank gets an underhook and turns him. Now Rua has his back to the cage. Frank fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Rua has had enough of the clinch but Frank keeps him there for the moment. A frustrated look appears on Rua's face as he tries to break the clinch. Rua misses with a knee strike.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Rua throws a shot from downtown. Frank moves away and avoids it. Rua swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Frank throws the kick towards the body but Rua avoids it. Rua tries to clinch up and Frank decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rua's guard. Rua working a defensive guard but Frank passes into half guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bob Frank dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Rua wants to clinch but Frank slips to the side and Frank counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rua won't be happy with that. Frank wants to take a breather but Rua manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Frank. Frank controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Frank drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Frank jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Frank is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rua has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Frank can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rua is trying to keep Frank in close.
Bob Frank has got the better of the ground game so far. Rua is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Frank trying to control the position from guard on top but Rua is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Frank throws a big right hand that misses. Rua keeping full guard, as Frank tries to pass. Rua is trying to keep Frank in close.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A big left from Rua misses. Rua tries to clinch but Frank moves away and Frank counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rua's guard now. Rua throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Frank escapes and throws Rua's legs to the side, diving into side control! Rua is working to avoid the ground and pound but Frank connects with a decent elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rua tries to control but Frank manages to take his back. Rua is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Frank gets his hands free as Rua looks to control. Will Frank go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Bob Frank showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Frank darts in and clinches Rua up against the cage. Rua wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Frank has him pressed against the cage. Frank wants the takedown. Rua is fighting it off but Frank persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Rua's guard against the cage. Rua is working an open guard so Frank takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Andre Rua is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Frank throws a right and a left that Rua avoids nicely. Rua tries to clinch but fails miserably and Frank decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rua's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rua looking for a triangle here. Frank is fighting it but it looks tight! Rua pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Frank is tapping out - this one is all over!
