The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kositzky shoots in but Kong avoids the takedown attempt easily. Kositzky keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kong works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Kositzky shoots in for a takedown but Kong shows good takedown defense. Kositzky on the wrong end of a nice hook. Kong leaves Kositzky with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Benoit Kong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nils Kositzky. Kositzky shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kong sprawls well. Kong wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kong moves into range and connects with a jab. Kong thuds his right hand into Kositzky's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Kong lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Kositzky sprawling to the canvas. Kong follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Kositzky hang on?

Kositzky seems to have recovered his senses. Kong is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Kong winds up and cracks Kositzky with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Kong wants to pass to mount but Kositzky is defending the position. Kong wants to take a breather but Kositzky is having none of it. Kositzky is looking to improve his position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kositzky will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kong lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kong. Kositzky fails with the takedown. Kong looks to land a combination but Kositzky avoids it well. A punch lands to the side of Kositzky 's head but he takes it in his stride. Kong scores with the left hand. Kositzky knows he should have avoided that one.

Kositzky walks into a jab. Kong scores with a hook. Kong dips down and scores with a jab to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kong scores with a jab to the jaw. Kositzky is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kong. Kong displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Kong catches Kositzky with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Kositzky feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Kong pulls Kositzky in close to his closed guard and prevents Kositzky from doing any damage or advancing position. Kong is looking for a triangle but Kositzky pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kositzky postures up in Kong's guard and throws a big left but Kong blocks it. Kong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kositzky in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Kong manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Kositzky wants to improve his position but Kong is controlling well.
Kositzky regains full guard. Nicely done. Kositzky is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kong postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Kositzky has an active guard here but Kong has managed to pass into half guard.
Kositzky is looking for a sweep. Kong is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kositzky is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Nice straight punches there by Kong. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kong. Nice sprawl there from Kong as Kositzky shoots in. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Benoit Kong dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Nils Kositzky's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Kong with a body punch. A glancing blow. Kositzky shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kong but Kong pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kong lands an overhand right. Kositzky shoots in but no luck this time. Kong throws a shot to the body.

Kositzky takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Kong throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nice body punch from Kong. Benoit Kong is winning the standup battle so far. Kong lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kositzky on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Kositzky throws and elbow that misses. Kong uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kositzky's guard. Nice move by Kong! Kong trying to control the position from guard on top but Kositzky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kong drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kong jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kong drops back looking for a leg! Kositzky is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kositzky manages to kick Kong off! Kong jumps back into Kositzky's guard. Kositzky is looking to sinch up a triangle. Kong throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Kositzky's body to avoid the submission. Kositzky has instead reached around Kong's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kositzky arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
