Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jake Tycoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Klinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James Klinger has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from Tycoon lands but Klinger takes it in his stride.
Klinger looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Klinger closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tycoon did well to prevent Klinger getting side control.
Tycoon moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Tycoon is looking to stand up but Klinger isn't so interested in that idea.

Tycoon controls Klinger momentarily but Klinger frees himself.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Klinger circles away from the clinch attempt.
No joy there for Klinger, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tycoon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

and Klinger decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tycoon's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Klinger tries to free his leg and advance position but Tycoon is retaining full guard.
Klinger is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Klinger stopping the sweep attempt from Tycoon.
Klinger looking to sit in guard and control but Tycoon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Klinger wants to reverse the position here. Tycoon has hold of a leg though and he's dropped back looking for a kneebar! The fighters roll across the mat but Klinger is forced to tap! Klinger looks devastated but at least his leg points in the right direction.
