Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Donny Goldstein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Natas! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goldstein feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Natas looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Goldstein landing some decent shots from guard. Goldstein keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Natas's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Goldstein working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Natas has momentary wrist control but Goldstein slips an elbow through the middle. Goldstein throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Natas was covering up waiting for the punch and Goldstein finishes the takedown easily into guard. Goldstein lands a couple of decent looking shots. Goldstein makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Goldstein controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Goldstein is looking to work some ground and pound but Natas has wrist control. Natas has momentary wrist control but Goldstein slips an elbow through the middle. Goldstein slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Goldstein can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Goldstein wanted to stand there but Natas had control of the position. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Goldstein wants to stand and escape but instead Natas has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Goldstein manages to end up in side control. Natas is pushing Goldstein's head away, looking to escape. Goldstein manages to hold on to the position though. Natas is looking for a sweep. Goldstein is chipping away with strikes.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Natas.
