Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin The bulldog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Payton Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Payton Banks!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Dean Styles and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Banks looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Banks working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The bulldog trying to control but Banks postures up.
Banks perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The bulldog is desperately trying to improve his position but Banks has a good base and remains in mount.
Banks pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

The bulldog is looking to improve his position but Banks isn't that keen on the idea.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Banks lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Despite being in the dominant position, Payton Banks just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The bulldog pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Banks is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. The bulldog can't fight it off and eventually Banks manages to take the fight to the floor. The bulldog looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The bulldog is striking from the bottom but Banks uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.

Banks just content to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The bulldog shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Banks counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Payton Banks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Banks shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Banks is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

and Banks counters with a left and a right that stings The bulldog.
Banks lands with a nice body punch.
The bulldog has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Banks has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Banks on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Banks tries to break free but The bulldog pushes him back against the cage.

The bulldog is fighting off a takedown attempt but Banks is just too persistent for him and manages to trip The bulldog to the mat. The bulldog regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Banks is working The bulldog over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Payton Banks has got the better of the ground game so far.
The bulldog can't keep his opponent in guard - Banks advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The bulldog looking for a sweep but Banks has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Payton Banks comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Banks has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
