The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Augusto thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Augusto wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wasama, who protects the arm well.

Augusto is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wasama knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Augusto swings around for an armbar but Wasama sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Augusto's guard.

Augusto had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wasama defends it easily.

Wasama would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Wasama wants to stand but Augusto has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Augusto has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wasama can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Augusto has his foot on Wasama's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wasama works his way back into a safe position though.
Wasama really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Augusto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wasama has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Augusto is proving hard to escape from.

Augusto is looking to sinch up a triangle. Wasama throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Augusto's body to avoid the submission. Augusto has instead reached around Wasama's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Augusto arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
