The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Soule uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Christo.
Christo throws a jab but it's blocked by Soule. Soule fails to land with a series of punches.
Christo scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Soule keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Christo. Soule throws a right and a left that both miss. Christo throws a combination that misses and Soule counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Soule stops Christo from getting back to his feet.

Soule rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Christo moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Christo lands a jab to the nose. Christo swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Soule is keen to just control but Christo is a slippery customer. Soule looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Soule throws a nice looking combination but Christo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
