Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gimmie Uh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joonas Peuralinna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peuralinna is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bluemoon. Joonas Peuralinna acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gimmie Uh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joonas Peuralinna!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peuralinna shoots in but no luck this time.
Uh tries to close the distance and clinch up but Peuralinna swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Uh throws a nice head kick!


It looks like Joonas Peuralinna has been cut.

Peuralinna gets the takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Uh gets back to half guard.
Uh is trying to stand up here but Peuralinna is controlling him well.

Peuralinna wants to control but Uh is keeping him busy.

Peuralinna looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Uh tries to kick Peuralinna off but Peuralinna keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Peuralinna works his way into side control.
Peuralinna cracks Uh with a big elbow.
Uh is trying to get back to half guard.

Peuralinna thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Uh managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Peuralinna.
Uh is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Peuralinna is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Uh is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Peuralinna is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Uh doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Peuralinna.

Peuralinna changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Uh looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

and Peuralinna counters with a single leg into guard. Uh didn't expect that.

Uh keeping moving, preventing Peuralinna from controlling successfully.
Uh wants to stand and escape but Peuralinna is having none of it.
Uh striking off his back but it's not causing Peuralinna any problems.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Uh can't do much from the bottom here.

Peuralinna misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Uh wants to improve his position but Peuralinna is controlling well.

Peuralinna is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Peuralinna pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Uh is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Peuralinna is landing with some decent strikes but Uh is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Peuralinna avoids the attempt from Uh to control.
Peuralinna lands a big shot there that rocks Uh but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Peuralinna wants to control the pace but Uh is squirming around nicely.

Uh wants to hold on but Peuralinna pushes him away.
Uh really wants to buck Peuralinna off and get back to his feet.
Joonas Peuralinna has got the better of the ground game so far.
Peuralinna landing punches.
Peuralinna lands a nice shot to the head.
Uh tries to lock up and control but Peuralinna gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Uh knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Peuralinna on the ground.
Uh is squirming around, avoiding Peuralinna's attempts to control the action.
Peuralinna has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Peuralinna can't control as he wanted to and Uh manages to get the fight back to his half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Uh is trying to stand up here but Peuralinna is controlling him well.

Peuralinna in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Uh tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Peuralinna!
