Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Snouka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randall Swain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Snouka comes to the cage accompanied by CURTIS MAYFIELD - SUPERFLY . Swain is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Lunatic Fringe. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jimmy Snouka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Randall Swain!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Swain feints and as Snouka raises his hands in defense, Swain changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Snouka not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Snouka working for a triangle but Swain defends it easily.
Snouka looking for a sweep. Not yet Snouka, not yet.
Snouka is trying to control the position but Swain postures up.
Swain trying to control the position from guard on top but Snouka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Swain is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Snouka throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Swain looking to sit in guard and control but Snouka gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Snouka trying to control the position from guard on top but Swain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Snouka has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Swain fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Snouka tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Swain wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Swain sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Snouka is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Snouka tries to buck Swain off but Swain is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Snouka is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Swain controls the position from side control.
Swain working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Swain is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Snouka gets back to half guard.
Swain working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Swain takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Snouka is trying to control but Swain manages to pass to mount!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Snouka wants to control but Swain is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Swain decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Randall Swain just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Swain throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Snouka was covering up waiting for the punch and Swain finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Snouka pulls Swain in close to his closed guard and prevents Swain from doing any damage or advancing position.

Well, if Swain is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Swain is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Snouka!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Snouka takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

BOOM! Swain connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Swain shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Snouka pinned against the cage. Snouka gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Snouka stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Snouka wants it to stay on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randall Swain showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Swain shoots for a takedown but Snouka saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Randall Swain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jimmy Snouka is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Swain swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Swain shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Snouka sprawls well. Snouka wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Swain gets slowly back to his feet.
Jimmy Snouka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randall Swain.
Snouka tried to score with a low kick but Swain checks it.

Swain closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Swain lands in his opponent's guard.

Snouka had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Swain defends it easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Swain wants to control from the top but Snouka keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Swain shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Snouka but Snouka pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Snouka stuffs the takedown.
Snouka misses with a head kick.

Snouka looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Swain!

Swain wants to hold on but Snouka pushes him away.

Swain has a hand on Snouka's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Snouka takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Randall Swain is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Snouka goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Swain is on top in guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jimmy Snouka has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Snouka looking for subs off his back but Swain has passed one foot through into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Still in half guard, Swain seems content to control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Randall Swain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Swain winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
