Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abner Pirolla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Pirolla's choice of entrance music: Duality. Paul Brown looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Abner Pirolla! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pirolla feints and as Brown raises his hands in defense, Pirolla changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brown looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Pirolla drops back looking for a leg! Brown is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Brown manages to kick Pirolla off! Pirolla jumps back into Brown's guard. Pirolla postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Pirolla trying to control but Brown is working from the bottom. Pirolla wants to pass the guard but Brown is keeping the position. Pirolla is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pirolla stands and throws Brown's legs to the side, diving into side control. Pirolla tries to score with some ground and pound. Brown controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Pirolla thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Pirolla wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brown keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Pirolla looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Pirolla is trying to get an arm triangle but Brown is defending well. Pirolla working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Pirolla seems to be looking for submissions.

Brown kicks Pirolla off and gets back to his feet. Pirolla looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Brown is fending him off so far but Pirolla persists. Nope, Brown circles away and we're back to standing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Abner Pirolla dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Nice takedown defense from Brown. No joy for Pirolla on that attempt. Pirolla bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Pirolla is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brown is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Pirolla tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Pirolla goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Brown rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Pirolla's guard! Nice work there by Brown! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pirolla keeping moving, preventing Brown from controlling successfully. Pirolla working for submissions but it's allowed Brown to get to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pirolla looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Brown pushes past his half guard into mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Brown sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Abner Pirolla will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Pirolla throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Brown was covering up waiting for the punch and Pirolla finishes the takedown easily into guard. Brown keeping moving, preventing Pirolla from controlling successfully. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pirolla drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pirolla jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Pirolla wants to control from the top but Brown keeps moving. Brown is controlling Pirolla's posture.

Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Pirolla looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Abner Pirolla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pirolla swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Brown looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Pirolla wants to control but Brown is keeping busy.
And that's the end of the fight! Paul Brown showed his dominance in that final round. I think Pirolla has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
